Thank you very much for your notes. Would you mind putting abit more color on how you manage your portofolio and build a position? Do you use stops? You manage to buy in one day only?
I also see you have biotech names in your portoflio, what is your thesis in buying and shorting stocks in this sector? Thanks
Sure, you're welcome. Recently, my portfolio has been comprised of several small alpha bets (0.5-1% of portfolio) combined with a base of beta such as $VOO, $VTWO, $VB, $VO and $DXJ in bigger blocks. Overall I am ~80% net long as of now.
Typically I buy the alpha bets in one shot, or bump up from 0.5% to 1% over the next couple of days if they're working in my favor.
Yes, all positions have stops. Some of the more volatile stocks have bigger allowances (and smaller position sizes) than others.
For the biotech names, I don't have expertise in that sector personally, so I follow others such as @citrini7 (paid Substack), @Pharmdca (Twitter) and others. Hope that helps!
Hello it really does. I know Citrini, i like his generalist approach, not a member though.
I also know Pharmdca but his portfolio I think it's quite wide: I was interested in high convinced positions not because I wanto to average down, I actively swing trade setups with tight stops, but just because I can get convinction in the momentum and capitalise on good data with a relative confidence.
Btw I truly appreciate your openness:) I will continue following you. Thanks a lot!!
